Disneyland, the word that brings magic and happiness to your heart. Everyone loves Disneyland no matter what age you are, who you are with, or how long you get to visit. The time spent at this magical place is time that turns into everlasting memories. Disneyland is where you get to be a kid forever no matter how old you are or how many times you have visited the magical land. Some may think that Disneyland is just for little kids and their parents, but it’s for teenagers as well. Teenagers have a lot of pressure surrounding social media, school, friends, and mental health. Going to Disneyland allows them to not take themselves too seriously and just be a kid again and have fun. It offers many amenities for teenagers that are more enjoyable then some may think or even realize. From countless thrilling rides, to shops and restaurants, pools at the Disneyland resort hotels, and getting to stay in the park late at night without the little kids.
What better place to enjoy a vacation other than the one and only Disneyland. Disneyland has three different parks that offer many amenities. One of them called ‘Downtown Disney’ is not a park with rides but rather a place to walk around, shop, eat, and go do fun activities (movie theater, bowling, etc). Everytime I go to Disneyland with my friends, I tend to eat meals in Downtown Disney when I don’t want to spend as much money on food as I would in the park. All the restaurants there in Downtown Disney are separately owned so the pricing changes for each place. Whether you just want to get Starbucks, pizza, or a sandwich, there are many more affordable places there. Eating there makes you feel like you can just relax and not have to worry about rushing to go get on another ride. Downtown Disney is a good option for meals for picky eaters because you can get any kind of food that you can even imagine. Besides just the food, there are tons of fun places to go shopping; which teens love. Of course they have a huge Disney store there called ‘The World of Disney’. This is a great place to go to get souvenirs because they have all the products in their store from inside the parks. If the parks are out of an item that you really want, always go check Downtown Disney as well because they have the biggest selection out of any place. As a teenager, I have been dying to go back to Disneyland because of one of the newer restaurants that just opened called Black Tap. Black Tap is a burger kind of place with extraordinary milkshakes. These milkshakes are piled up with cake and whip cream on top. This is the main reason why as a teenager I want to go there. Although they are close to $10, this is the kind of item that as a teenager you spend your money on and make a memory that will last a lifetime. A new place that just opened a year or so ago, called Splitsville, is one of the most popular places for teens to go in Downtown Disney. Splitsville is a bowling alley and restaurant all in one. They offer bowling right next to your luxury booth loaded with lots of amazing food. It has a very positive and welcoming environment for teens to enjoy with their friends. ‘Looking for some amazing food places to eat at or grab a snack?’ Well Disneyland and California Adventure are the places for you. Both parks over a huge variety of places to eat characterized by the land you are in. There are plenty of options for picky eaters as well. You can have a traditional meal like pizza or you can spicy it up and have a gourmet dinner at the Blue Bayou overlooking the ride Pirates of the Carribean. Besides just eating meals, both parks over hundreds of fun and seasonal treats for you to enjoy. You can choose from sweet treats at the bakery, get a dole whip, or go with a traditional mickey mouse ice cream bar. Teenagers will love exploring all the food options that are available at the parks and will not want to leave.
Some days teens just want to take a break from all the crowds in the parks and head to downtown Disney where they can do normal everyday activities with friends. All the shops in Downtown Disney are shops that you can find other places besides Disneyland and California like salt & straw ice cream, roxy store, wetzel pretzel, and AMC movie theater 12. As a teenager myself, I definitely enjoy having the option to take a break from the parks and go to Downtown Disney. One of the other big entertainment places that teenagers enjoy going to is a virtual reality room. The virtual reality room in Downtown Disney offers teens to be able to step into the scenes of the iconic Star Wars movies. They get to battle storm troopers and jedis in an almost extremely realistic scenery. This is a popular place for teens to go because they can enjoy going in big groups with all their friends. Although many people want to shop for Disney items when visiting Disneyland, Downtown Disney offers a variety of other shops that teens will love. These shops include Curl Surf, The Lego Store, Rinse Bath & Company, and many more. Having such a diverse selection of places to shop, draws in many teenagers who have different interests. To top it all off, Downtown Disney offers attractions that teenagers go crazy over. They have a movie theater for when you just want to take a break from all the busingly and enjoy a memorable time watching maybe even a new Disney movie. Overall, Downtown Disney is an excellent option to go and enjoy a good time with friends while taking a break from all the craziness of rides and crowds.
Disneyland and California Adventure offer many thrill seeking rides that kids of all ages will love. From roller coasters to fast dropping rides, both these parks have many exuberante rides for teens. Starting off with California Adventure, which has the biggest ride in all of Disneyland called the ‘Incredicoaster’. The Incredicoaster is a fast pace thrilling upside down roller coaster adventure. Throughout the ride, you will be chasing baby Jack Jack (from the movie the Incredibles) through tunnels all along the sky high roller coaster. This ride draws in many teenagers because they love the excitement it brings with the upside down loop and how fast you go. For an even better experience, lots of people like to go at night when it’s dark and the tunnels you go through light up as you are chasing baby Jack Jack. The Incredicoaster is such an amazing and fun ride for teens and to top it all of you get your picture taken while you’re on the ride. This calls for funny photo ops and memories that will last a lifetime. Another ride that isn’t a roller coaster but rather a big race track, is the ride ‘Radiator Springs Racers’. You get into a car with 5 other people and you set off getting all ready for the big race. The ride takes you by a stunning waterfall and then leads you to a car shop where your vehicle gets beautified before the big race. When you leave the shop you meet your opposing car and have a countdown that takes you off onto a thrillingly fast course. This ride is spectacular from the fast speed to the amazing views. Radiator Springs Racers never disappoints for those teens who are looking for a fast ride. California Adventure offers one other huge ride that is unlike any others. ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout’ is a ride like no other in either of the parks. This ride involves riding in an elevator going to extreme heights then dropping extremely fast. It’s the kind of ride that makes your stomach get butterflies in hopefully a good way. The best part of the ride is when you go to the very top of the building and the doors open so you are looking over all of California Adventure and then you drop super fast. At that moment they take your picture which is one of the best parts because everyone’s faces are so goofy. Moments like those are what teens live for and why the rides in California Adventure are so good. Those are just a couple of the big rides in California Adventure, although there are many others. Including Grizzly River Run which is a water ride where you ride in a big raft with about seven other people. You get to go down fast moving rapids and experience drops. This ride is the best when it’s really hot outside and you need to cool off. Teenagers will also enjoy rides like Goofy’s Flight School, Tow Mater, and Soaring Over the World. With many options for teenagers along with plenty of other small rides just for fun, California Adventure is a park that teenagers will not want to miss out on. Disneyland offers many thrilling rides that are fun for all ages especially teenagers as well. Three of the biggest roller coaster rides in Disneyland are Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Matterhorn Bobsleds. Space Mountain is an inside roller coaster adventure in the dark with lots of sudden drops and stops. Where as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a train ride outside through the rocky mountains. If you are looking for a scary roller coaster then Matterhorn Bobsleds is the ride for you. You will be traveling through the snowy alps while the abominable snowman is scaring you throughout the mountain. All these roller coasters are perfect rides for teenagers wanting that thrilling ride experience.
Disneyland is a magical place that is very enjoyable but can also get very tiring walking around all day and night. The best part about Disneyland is staying at one of their resort hotels. When you need to just relax and give your feet a break, head on back to your Disneyland resort hotel and “Your teens can go swimming at the resort pools, play games at the arcades, and even watch a movie under the stars”. Disneyland Resort hotels are the best option when going on your trip because they offer so many amenities and teens love having the option to go back and relax when they want to. The ability to go back to the hotel even for a quick power nap is key for teenagers who want to be there when the park opens early in the morning and stay till it closes late at night. The perfect time to get on all the big rides is at night when all the young kids have gone to bed. Teenagers can explore the park all by themselves with mostly all the little kids gone and experience a lot shorter wait times. The parks are open til midnight which allows plenty of time for teens to get in all their rides they want to and even enjoy some late night treats.
